I have been praying and praying about all the things I am learning with this sex-trafficking study and I have a challenge for us this holiday season. Please consider doing this with me.
I want you to first consider the amount of time you give to worrying? really i mean think about it. Is it ten minuets a day? fifty minuets a week? I know this is something many of us do without even knowing it. In Gods word he tell us do not worry about anything, but instead in all things with prayer, supplication and thanksgiving give your request to God and the peace that surpasses all understanding will guard our hearts in Christ jesus.
What a wonderful thing he does for us. So I want us to take captive our thoughts and make them obedient to christ and pray instead of worrying. I also want us to realize how lucky we are to be free in Christ. There are thousands of girls and women being held against there will, being forced to do things that will damage them in ways i cant even imagine. I want us to Begin With Ten , for the month of december. Begin with ten minuets of prayer for the sex-trafficked victims and woman and girls in the porn industry.
We spend so much time shopping and thinking about what we want for christmas. So much time on where we will be, who we will be with, what parties we will attend. I ask you to use some of that energy on praying for people who dont even have the dream of christmas this year. Pray for freedom, justice and healing for these girls and woman.
I know that if you were to have a friend or a daughter who got somehow caught in this nightmare you would be praying. These girls are real and have names. They are in a bondage to something so evil most of us dont even like to think about it. But that doesn't change the fact that it is still happening. Let us sacrifice ten min each day the month of december and ask for something for someone else. Let us ask the God of all things to intercede for these girls and bring Justice to this terrible evil.

Your challenge is admirable and needed and I will make a concerted effort. I think of these women here and there and the lives they are forced to lead. The freedom they long for, the dreams they push away time and time again, what they wish for?-children, family, getting to make their own choices and how painful those moments must be for them. What I have is so so much....the freedom to choose, to worship, to love freely, to give. I love what the IJM is doing and many others to rescue them and pray for their safety as well.
