About Me

My photo
In 2007, we started a ministry called NEAH (Not Even A Hint). Our Goal is to educate and encourage girls with God's truth. We provided what we liked to call 'NEAH events' for anyone who is interested. Through skits, music, fellowship, and lessons, we dive into what the Bible really says about purity. We tackled hard to talk about issues and shared our stories. Seeking the heart of God is such a joy. Now I am a speaker at Woman's events and I speak to girls of all ages. I still pull in the old team members and we are still loving the Lord. I also Speak at schools, small groups and churches. I can bring team members with me. If interested just send me a email. ~Seeking the heart of God~

Sexual Sin

This is a very short version of something that should be very long.  It's just on my heart, so maybe even one person can benefit from this post.

I talk with a lot of girls and adults about sexual sin, sexual abuse and the sexual culture that we live in.  The more and more I visit with young girls and women the more and more I have come to realize what a privilege it is to be in your lives.  I want to thank you for sharing your hurts, healing and hang-ups while allowing me to come along side of you in this journey.  Today I want to share some simple truths that I have found that help me so much when it comes to these topics.

The Sexual Sin We Choose

1) God's Plan for Sex is Perfect

I know it is hard to believe but God created sex.  And He created it for good.  He had a plan and guides us and tells us over and over in His word to keep sex a gift for the marriage bed.  He wants us to fight for His ways and not give into selfish desires.  He warns us about what happens when we try to do it our way.  It hurts, that's what happens and we have consequences that we never imagined.

2) God's Grace is Sufficient

But for a lot of us we think well it's to late.  I have already gone past that boundary or allowed that to be in my life so what now?  God's grace is sufficient.  He has forgiven us through the life and death and resurrection of His son. (There is so much more to be said about creation and the fall of man but I want to put this in here.)
I know that this is hard to understand, but it is such a wonderful truth for us to take hold of.  Far too often we don't believe this.  It is never about what we have done or not done that allows God's truth to heal us. The Lord allows our sins to be covered no matter who you are or what you have done.  He has forgiven you as far as the east is to the west.  That is a really far way.

My heart breaks for those of you that have not embraced this truth; because it restores you and brings a peace that I don't know how to describe. It is totally about His grace being enough.  Let this truth sink in so deeply that you turn from the culture's view and seek God's plan instead.  You will never regret doing this God's way!  Also, I would like to say restoration is a mighty wonderful thing.  It is bringing us back to the perfect way He created us.  Through Jesus, not the things we do, only through the perfect blood of Christ does this happen.

2) Last thing I want to say is you are living in sexual smog, and it's making me gag.

The culture fills you with lies continually.  I mean its like a IV plugged into your sweet little vein and it is feeding you the lies about the way sex works and what it is supposed to be for and how you should be sexually satisfied. Everyday you plug yourself in through media, conversation and the things you allow yourself to think about.
Sex, Sex, Sex ~ There are jokes about sex, movies with sex, we say you're sexy, sex is the answer, if I had sex he would...if I don't have had sex I would.... watching sex, thinking about sex, singing about sex, romanticizing everything.... we facebook sex conversations and personal jokes, this all comes from a culture that is hovering over you like a dense fog.  Unless you allow God's truth to break through the clouds you are in for some stormy days.  Because when you take God's plan and distort it and defile it, there are consequences eventually that you can never imagine.

I know this is not an exhaustive list by any means, but some of the real stories of young ladies I have sat across from that had to face consequences that they never imagined because they believed a lie.

I am pregnant.
I can't believe this happened to me.
I have had two abortions already.
I have a STD.
What if I have a STD?
I haven't heard from him since we had sex.
I am so ashamed I can't believe that happened.
I don't know how it even happened… he wasn’t even my boyfriend.
My parents found out, I hate myself.

I know I can't show the emotion that went along with those conversations but it wasn't ever good.  And they never cried alone.  I am also alarmed by the casualness that comes with along with sex now a day.  WOW! I wish I could sit across from you and share with you that you are worth so much more.  I wish I could help clear away the lies of heavy laying sexual smog that hovers over us. I would gladly help you to understand that sex was never intended to be casual.  It binds you to someone.  It is emotional and spiritual along with the most intimate physical act you can have with another person.
 It is a gift!

Please treat it as the precious gift it is intended to be and let God help protect you for your future.
You are worth it sweet girls!  You are so worth it and your future is worth it.  God's ways are perfect, they are placed to protect you and give you something more than you have ever imagined.

If you have already had some sex junk, it’s not too late, give it to the Lord.  Only God can take what is defiled and restore it. Confess it to Him and to a trusted friend and seek His healing and restoration.  Turn away from those sins, run away from those situations.  Let God's truth lead you, God's word is living and active, it will change the way you think if you let it.  Read and meditate on his truth for your life and let HIM help clear away the fog!

You are dearly loved!!!!
